(ECNS) -- Carrying 125 passengers, flight TW621 took off from Seoul, South Korea, and arrived at Sanya Phoenix International Airport, south China's Hainan Province, at 1:23 a.m. Beijing Time on Thursday. It marks the resumption of regular international passenger flights between Sanya and Seoul.
The route is operated by T’way Air. The regular international passenger route operates two flights per week. The inbound flight, TW621, departs from Seoul every Wednesday and Saturday. The outbound flight, TW622, departs from Sanya every Thursday and Sunday.
The resumption of this route will promote exchanges and cooperation between China and South Korea in terms of economy, trade, culture, tourism, and other fields.
According to data from the Sanya Tourism Development Bureau, the number of South Korean tourists visiting Sanya increased by 77 percent year-on-year from January to May this year.
