(ECNS) -- China’s Kuaizhou-1A carrier rocket blasted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China at 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, sending four meteorological satellites into the planned orbit.
The satellites, namely, 07,08,09, and 10, belonging to the Tianmu-1 meteorological constellation, will be mainly used to provide commercial meteorological data services. After the constellation is established, it will enable comprehensive and integrated detection of the ocean, atmosphere, and ionosphere globally and in all weather conditions.
It was the 21st flight mission using a Kuaizhou-1A commercial carrier rocket.
