(ECNS) -- A Boeing 737-900 aircraft operated by Lion Air from Indonesia, carrying 180 passengers, arrived at Sanya Phoenix International Airport in South China’s Hainan Province at 0:54 a.m. on Friday, marking the official opening of the Sanya-Jakarta international air route.
The Sanya-Jakarta air route is operated by Hainan Kangtai Aviation Investment Co., Ltd. and carried out by Lion Air from Indonesia. The route operates two flights per week.
The inbound flight is JT2781, departing from Jakarta on Monday and Thursday evenings and arriving in Sanya the next early morning. The outbound flight is JT2780, departing from Sanya on Tuesday and Friday early mornings, and arriving in Jakarta on the same day.
According to statistics, in 2019, Sanya received 46,100 overnight visitors from Indonesia, ranking among the top five sources.
