Contact made with 14 missing in Beijing's heavy rainfall

(ECNS) -- Contact has been established with 14 individuals among the previously reported 27 missing persons due to the heavy rainfall in Beijing, with all confirmed safe, Beijing Municipal Emergency Bureau said on Tuesday afternoon.

These individuals work for the Xialiandian Power Station in Mentougou district, which was hit by floods on Monday. Five have already safely returned to their company, while the remaining nine have chosen to stay at the power station.
