(ECNS) -- The China International School held its opening ceremony in Bangkok, Thailand on Wednesday afternoon (local time), as the first such school to adopt the Chinese curriculum in the country.
The school offers international Chinese language education programs covering from kindergarten, primary school, junior high, to high school. It employs teaching materials published by the People's Education Press of China.
Professor Yang Jinquan, former minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and current president of Krirk University, expressed in his speech that the school marks a new attempt at Chinese language education in Thailand.
“Students not only receive high-quality Chinese education but also develop an international perspective and competitiveness, laying a solid foundation for future development,” he said.
The school employs English and Thai as auxiliary languages, providing an inclusive learning and language environment. It features Thailand's first Confucius Culture Experience Center, encompassing Chinese traditional culture learning systems, and various interest-based courses.
The majority of the school's experienced teachers are young and middle-aged educators with master's degrees or higher qualifications.
