The giant panda has existed on Earth for 8 million years, and Sichuan is its hometown. In September, during the golden autumn in Chengdu, the inaugural "Golden Panda Awards" selection event will shine with honor, bringing together exceptional works and a grand celebration.
The "Golden Panda Awards" is an international cultural prize aimed at the global stage. It employs audiovisual creations centered around the giant panda, serving as a cultural symbol to promote cross-cultural exchange, mutual learning, and the building of the shared future for mankind. Hosted in Chengdu, China, it is organized by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the People's Government of Sichuan Province, held every two years. The first "Golden Panda Awards" selection event is scheduled for September 19th to 20th, 2023. It comprises four main categories: film, television drama, documentary, and animation, along with a special award from the judging committee, totaling 27 awards.
