(ECNS) -- As the highly anticipated Hangzhou Asian Games approaches, the Shanghai Airport Customs has ensured the smooth clearance of nearly 1,200 personnel from 131 batches heading to the Hangzhou Asian Games at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, the customs said Thursday.
A delegation of 30 people from Vietnam, participating in the Hangzhou Asian Games, arrived at the airport by flight on Thursday afternoon.
They were guided to the green channel for border inspection. The entire process of customs procedures took less than 20 minutes.
On the same day, nearly 600 individuals from over 70 countries and international sports organizations, including Thailand, Japan, Iran, and others, who are participating in the Hangzhou Asian Games, also arrived at the airport.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport is one of the four recommended entry and exit ports for the Hangzhou Asian Games.
According to the Shanghai Airport Customs, in order to effectively carry out inspections, the station actively coordinated with the airport's Asian Games arrival and departure command center.
They set dedicated teams for each delegation. They also made advance preparations for police deployment and port clearance flow forecasts to ensure that the inspection process is conducted in an orderly and safe manner.
At the same time, the station selected foreign language volunteers to provide guidance for athletes, referees, and staff during immigration, inquiries, and inspections, ensuring smooth communication and delivering a quick customs clearance experience.
