(ECNs) -- China has completed the natural resources registration of the Giant Panda National Park in southwest China's Sichuan Province, local authorities said.
Established in October 2021, the Giant Panda National Park is one of the first five national parks in China, spanning Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu provinces.
The park in Sichuan covers an area of 19,300 square kilometer, accounting for 87.73 of the total area of the Giant Panda National Park. There are six major natural resources in this area, including water resources, wetlands, forests, grasslands, uncultivated lands and mineral resources.
The registration will help promote the property protection for the construction of the Giant Panda National Park, clarify the responsibilities for regulators, and safeguard the rights and interests of these assets, the Department of Natural Resources of Sichuan Province said.
