(ECNS) -- China's third generation, superconducting quantum computer "Origin Wukong" has completed 33,871 computing tasks for users around the world as of Jan. 15.
The number of remote access to the computer exceeded 350,000 time from over 60 countries and regions, including the U.S., Bulgaria, Singapore, Japan, Russia, Canada, etc.
The computer, powered by a 72-qubit indigenous superconducting quantum chip called "Wukong Chip", was put into operation on Jan. 6 and is the most advanced programmable and deliverable superconducting quantum computer in China.
According to the Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center, a total of 37,666 quantum computing tasks have been received worldwide, of which 33,871 tasks have been successfully completed.
Wukong's name was inspired by Sun Wukong, a mythical Chinese figure who can assume 72 different forms.
The chip was developed by Origin Quantum, an Anhui province-based quantum chip startup.
