(ECNS) -- Propelled by technological and equipment innovations, China's new energy industry is in full swing, injecting robust new momentum into promoting green economic and social development while addressing climate change.
The green development continues to be a hot topic in this year's Two Sessions of China.
In this regard, China News Network had exclusive conversations with Joseph Dellatte, research fellow for climate, energy and environment at Institut Montaigne, and Jeff Ruffolo, a U.S. China expert.
Both experts highly recognize China's achievements in the new energy industry. Ruffolo believed that "the best thing we can see China has done is the remarkable affinity of embracing change when it comes to green technology." He added that "China is and will continue to be the world leader in embracing positive new green technologies.
He further raised the example of China's embracing of new energy vehicles and clean hydrogen-burning buses, saying that “this is a major step forward in the matrix of addressing climate change but still being able to provide ultra-comfortable transportation capability."
Dellatte spotted "twofold" on China's achievement in the new energy industry: The first one is the impressive development of renewable energy, which is key for the future; and the second one is that China has developed a lot of technologies and a lot of know-how when it comes to installing renewables and processing them.
In addition, Dellatte said that "China is a nice example of what's happening when it comes to decarbonization using renewables, though there are many challenges that still need to be achieved", but he thought that Europe must engage with China, help China or maybe learn from China on climate.
