(ECNS) -- A cross-border train carrying more than 400 tourists departed Harbin East Station in Heilongjiang Province for Laos at 11:10 p.m. Thursday, kicking off their 16-day journey.
Train Y124 will pass through Hubei, Guizhou, Hunan, and Yunnan provinces and take in the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan, Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, Small Seven Holes Ancient Bridge, Yuelu Academy, and Juzizhou, or Orange Isle in Changsha before reaching the border.
After arriving in Laos, passengers will continue on the China-Laos International Passenger train to explore 14 scenic areas, including a wood carving art museum, the iconic Pha That Luang Temple, the Patuxai Victory Gate, which symbolizes the Sino-Lao friendship, and Blue Lagoon, to experience the charm of Southeast Asia.
