(ECNS) -- The Cross-Strait Youth Development and Communication Camp themed “Youth, Synergy and Future” opened Monday in Wuzhen Town, Jiaxing City, south China’s Zhejiang Province, bringing young people from the mainland and Taiwan together to forge friendship and future.
“Wuzhen boasts both historical charm and natural beauty,” said Chen Xianzi, a blogger with 100,000 online followers.
“I’ve traveled to the mainland more than 10 times and discovered something new during each trip. That's why I invited some friends along to showcase the real mainland to people in Taiwan,” said Chen Zhixiang, also a blogger.
Chen paid special attention to the development of e-commerce and live streaming industry in Zhejiang. “I hope to learn more about the experience of running self-media and find more opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship.”
Hong Shuohong came to Jiaxing in 2003 to do business, settled down since then and started a family later.
“The most impressive thing is the pragmatic and innovative government, which has supported Taiwan people here. I hope more Taiwan youth could come and share in the opportunities here,” Hong said.
Experiencing emerging industries such as live streaming and e-commerce, along with local culture is expected to, promote mutual understanding via communication and exchange.
