(ECNS) -- Beijing Daxing International Airport has handled over 20.10 million passenger trips as of Sunday, an increase of 42.23 percent over the same period last year, and hit the 20 million mark 50 days ahead of 2023.
Daily passenger throughput surpassed 160,000 at the airport with 1.7411 million international passenger trips, accounting for 8.66 percent of a daily passenger throughput of 11,300.
To date, a total of 65 domestic, foreign and regional airlines operate at the airport. During this summer-autumn flight season, South Korea's Jeju Air and Russia's Ural Airlines launched new international routes to the airport. More international and regional flights were introduced from Daxing airport to Amsterdam, Moscow and China's Macao.
The airport has launched nearly 40 international routes since the official recovery of international flights on Jan. 17, 2023.
