(ECNS) -- China established eight new friendship city partnerships during the China International Friendship Cities Conference, which concluded Tuesday in Yunnan Province.
These new partnerships include the Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Chile, Greece, Cambodia, Laos, and Nepal.
China established its first international friendship city partnership in 1973. Since then, it has built a network of 3,046 pairs of friendship provinces and cities, spanning 602 regions and 1,867 cities across 147 countries.
The conference also saw the signing of 16 cooperation agreements in various fields, including talent development, think tank exchanges, trade, and connectivity.
