(ECNS) -- The first direct cold chain freight train carrying Southeast Asian fruits from Vientiane, Laos, to Huaihua, central China’s Hunan Province, arrived at the Huaihua International Land Port on New Year’s Day. This launch establishes a new logistics channel between Southeast Asia and central China.
This new route enables efficient transportation of Southeast Asian fruits like durian, mangosteen, dragon fruits, and longan to reach Chinese markets. Through a combination of sea-rail intermodal and cross-border railway transportation, Huaihua will function as a hub for collection, distribution, and trade of these fruits.
The fruits will then be distributed to cities across China, including Beijing, Zhengzhou, Changsha, and regions around the Wuling Mountains.
Huaihua International Land Port plans to strengthen partnerships with top-tier cold chain logistics companies and advance the digitalization and automation of its operations, to solidify its position as a key gateway for international trade.
