Sotheby's Hong Kong Chinese Works of Art Spring Sale Series 2018 will take place on April 3 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The series will be led by the superbly enamelled, fine and exceedingly rare Pink-Ground Falangcai Bowl, which is expected to fetch up to 200 million HK dollars (around 26 million U.S. dollars).
Sotheby's held a media preview on Thursday. Nicolas Chow, Deputy Chairman, Sotheby's Asia, International Head and Chairman, Chinese Works of Art, commented that "there is extraordinary quality and breadth in our offerings of Chinese art this season, with possibly the finest assemblage of Qing porcelain on offer in recent memory."
The series of sales will offer about 300 items with a total estimate of nearly 730 million HK dollars (94.9 million U.S. dollars).
