U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, along with a team, arrived in Beijing, China Saturday morning for a new round of trade talks between the two countries.
The two sides are due to hammer out the details outlined in the joint statement released after the last round of trade negotiations in Washington, DC.
However, just days before Ross’s scheduled visit, the Trump administration announced that the U.S. would move forward with tariffs on 50 billion U.S. dollars worth of Chinese imports, adding uncertainties to current round of talks.
