China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) released its Cloud Manufacturing Support System (CMSS) on Friday, which is expected to bring industrial management innovation.
Combining the Industrial Internet Cloud Space (INDICS), released in 2017, and the CMSS released on Friday, the CASIC cloud, which is China's industrial pubic internet platform, was formally developed, CASIC officials said during the 2018 Industrial Internet Summit in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan Province on Friday.
The CMSS can provide cloud services for industries, including equipment, production line and research.
The CASIC cloud platform has operating systems that can process Big Data and analyze industrial data. The system is compatible with more functions and provides customized apps for companies, according to a statement the CASIC sent to the Global Times.
"The cloud platform can gather resources dispersed across the country and assemble and optimize the companies' working processes. It will serve middle- and small-scale companies to change their production mode and organizational structure as well as companies' system reform," Gao Hongwei, CASIC chairman said at the forum.
"Technological and business management innovation is the sole solution for the global economic crisis, which is caused by homogeneity and overcapacity," GAO said.
Close to 1.7 million companies from 179 countries and regions have registered on the platform since it started three years ago. About 150,000 purchase and sales information has been released worth a total of 420 billion yuan ($65 billion), the statement said. It added that it has developed 1,600 apps for industries.
