China's foreign direct investment volume grew 4.1 percent year-on-year to $68.32 billion in the first half of 2018, according to data from the Ministry of Commerce released on Thursday.
In the meantime, a total of 29,591 companies were established by foreign capital, jumping 96.6 percent from the same period a year earlier.
FDI in high-tech areas, including high-end manufacturing and research and development, maintained a growing momentum between January and June of 2018.
