Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development said it will strive to stabilize the land price and housing price as a policy goal in 2019, in order to promote steady and sound development of the real estate market in China, CCTV reported on Monday.
The ministry emphasized its firm stance to curb speculation in the property market, adding next year's focus is to solve housing problem for citizens who move to a new city and make up the rental housing shortages.
It encouraged the megacities and big cities with large population inflow to activate the urban stock land and to increase effective supply of public rental housing in 2019.
The ministry held a conference in Beijing on Monday, planning its next year's key jobs.
It aims to speed up resolution of the housing difficulties of low-income families in urban areas, with greater supports to improve the efficiency of housing fund services.
China will also continue to renovate rundown areas and improve infrastructure construction.
