China has revised down the growth rate of its 2017 gross domestic product (GDP) to 6.8 percent from the previously reported 6.9 percent on Friday.
The National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement that the economy had grown 6.8 percent year-on-year in 2017, lowering the GDP value to 82.7 trillion yuan (12.11 trillion U.S. dollars), a reduction of 636.7 billion yuan.
