Chief Executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Carrie Lam said Monday that the HKSAR government is committed to maintaining Hong Kong's status as an international aviation hub, an international maritime center and a regional logistics hub.
Lam made the remarks after listening to the views of representatives of the aviation, maritime and logistics sectors on the upcoming Policy Address at a video conference.
As the COVID-19 epidemic has dealt a heavy blow to the cross-boundary passenger service sector, Lam said she will fully consider their views when formulating the Policy Address.
After Monday's meeting, Lam will hold 11 similar consultation sessions covering people's livelihoods, finance, economy, innovation and technology, education, and land and housing to medical and health services, among others.
Lam is scheduled to submit the Policy Address to the HKSAR Legislative Council in mid-October.
