The revenue of Macao's manufacture sector in 2019 edged up by 0.1 percent year-on-year to 7.17 billion patacas (about 899.29 million U.S. dollars), the special administrative region's statistic service said here on Sunday.
The latest report from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) showed that there were 894 establishments that were related to the manufacture sector, down by 16 year-on-year. Meanwhile, the number of persons engaged rose by 1.2 percent to 11,448.
The expenditure of the sector grew by 0.4 percent to 6.23 billion patacas (about 781.39 million dollars), the DSEC report added.
The gross surplus of the sector dropped by 1.7 percent to 943.00 million patacas (about 118.27 million dollars) while the gross value added increased by 1.3 percent to 2.58 billion patacas (about 323.59 million dollars).
The gross fixed capital formation of the manufacture sector declined by 17.0 percent to 268.00 million patacas (about 33.61 million dollars).
Macao's industry, including manufacture, electricity, gas and water supply, recorded a revenue of 11.69 billion patacas (about 1.47 billion dollars) in 2019, an increase of 5.0 percent year-on-year.
