(ECNS) -- Flight Y87962 from Singapore landed at Sanya Phoenix International Airport on Sunday, marking the first Singapore-Sanya-Guangzhou air trade corridor flight.
With two flights every Monday and Sunday respectively, the route mainly sees trade in cross-border e-commerce and duty-free goods.
The air trade corridor would connect Sanya and southeast Asian coastal cities to boost economic and trade exchange between Sanya and Singapore.
The airport will continue to increase its air cargo capacity in the summer and autumn of this year to enlarge its international airline network.
It will also give full play to its location advantages, grab opportunities brought by the construction of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and promote cooperation and exchange between Hainan Free Trade Port and the rest of the world, to better meet the demand of air cargo transportation and boost the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, according to an airport official.
