China's electronic information manufacturing industry sees growth in 2021

China's electronic information manufacturing industry recorded steady growth in revenue and profits last year, official data showed.

Operating revenue of the industry amounted to about 14.1 trillion yuan (about 2.2 trillion U.S. dollars) in 2021, up 14.7 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The profits of the industry surged 38.9 percent from a year earlier to 828.3 billion yuan, the ministry said.

The added value of the industry increased 15.7 percent in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 8 percentage points in the growth rate. The 2021 growth rate marked a new high in the last 10 years, the ministry said.
