China urges U.S. to correct wrongful actions against Chinese companies

China has urged the United States to immediately correct its wrongful actions and stop the unreasonable suppression of its companies after the U.S. recently added six Chinese companies to its export control "entity list".

Speaking at a weekly news conference in Beijing, He Yadong, spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, stressed that China will take all necessary measures to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies.

For some time now, the U.S. has been adding Chinese companies to its export control "entity list", citing concerns related to Russia and military affairs as pretext, said He.

By broadening the definition of national security and misusing export control measures, the U.S. has been arbitrarily enforcing unilateral sanctions and exercising the "long-arm jurisdiction" over Chinese businesses. This represents a clear example of economic coercion and unilateral bullying. China strongly condemns these actions, said the commerce official.
