China and Mongolia will conduct a joint army training as part of the annual cooperation plan between the two armies and mutual consensus, the Ministry of National Defense announced on Monday.
The training is scheduled to take place from late April to late May in the East Gobi Province of Mongolia. China will dispatch a battalion-sized force equipped with various types of weapons and wheeled vehicles to participate in the training.
This marks the first joint army training between the two countries that focuses on dealing with illegal armed groups. It aims to further deepen the strategic mutual trust and pragmatic cooperation between the Chinese and Mongolian armies, making positive contributions to regional peace and stability.
