The eldest sister Meng Meng of the only giant panda triplets is expecting to deliver a baby in south China's Guangzhou City.
Meng Meng and her brothers were born on July 29, 2014, at the Chimelong Safari Park in Guangzhou, and are the world's first healthy panda triplets.
She had been sent to Shenshuping base of the China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Panda in Wolong, Sichuan Province, to reproduce. In mid-May, she successfully mated with a male panda. Meng Meng carries the triplet genes, so the chances of her giving birth to another triplets are high. She has now been sent back to Guangzhou to wait for delivery.
