On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin invited the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong Un to visit Russia in September, Reuters reported.
Putin made the invitation when he met with Kim Yong Nam, the president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, who went to Moscow to attend the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony.
During the meeting, Kim Yong Nam handed a written message to Putin from Kim Jong Un.
Putin also said he welcomed the meeting between Kim Jong Un and U.S. President Donald Trump, which happened in Singapore on Tuesday.
