China's top legislature Friday afternoon passed a decision on the duties of the National People's Congress (NPC) Constitution and Law Committee, at the closing meeting of its bimonthly session.
Besides continuing duties including reviewing draft laws, the NPC Constitution and Law Committee will perform new duties such as the implementation and interpretation of the Constitution, constitutional examination, strengthening supervision, and coordinating with Constitution publicity.
The decision was submitted by the chairperson's meeting of the NPC Standing Committee to the legislators.
The bimonthly session of the NPC Standing Committee ran Tuesday to Friday.
