A high-ranking official of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) is visiting Cuba to discuss bilateral ties and international issues of mutual concern, an official press release said.
Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Worker's Party of Korea (WPK), held talks with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel here on Tuesday.
A month ago, another high-ranking DPRK official, Ri Su Yong, vice chairman of WPK Central Committee, had visited Cuba.
Cuba and the DPRK established diplomatic relations in 1960. Since then both countries have maintained ties and cooperated in several sectors, such as education and agriculture.
