Chinese and African leaders have discussed guidelines for cooperation in the next three years at a roundtable meeting on the second day of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
President Xi Jinping and his South African counterpart Cyril Ramaphosa chaired Tuesday's session.
Xi told African leaders that he hopes all participants can speak freely to exchange views and ideas on international affairs.
Reporting at the venue, CGTN's Tang Bo says the roundtable meeting paves the way for the FOCAC to set priorities for cooperation in the coming three years and beyond. The summit will also launch initiatives to get more Chinese and African people directly participating in cooperative efforts.
