Denuclearization on agenda at upcoming inter-Korean summit
The denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the defused military tension between the two Koreas would be on the main dialogue agenda for the upcoming summit between President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in and top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong-un.
Moon has arrived at the Pyongyang International Airport on Tuesday morning and be greeted by a welcoming ceremony at the airport.
After lunch, Moon and Kim are slated for their first face-to-face meeting of the summit, and they will hold their second round of talks Wednesday morning.
Moon was set to stay in Pyongyang for three days till Thursday.
Major moments would be broadcast live for the first time. Two former ROK presidents visited Pyongyang in 2000 and 2007 for summit meetings with then-DPRK leader Kim Jong-il, the father of the current leader, but they were not aired live.
The two leaders held their first summit in the border village of Panmunjom on April 27, followed by their second meeting there on May 26.
