China firmly opposes a U.S. warship's entry into the waters around China's islands and reefs in the South China Sea, said Wu Qian, spokesperson from China's Ministry of National Defense on Tuesday.
According to Wu, a U.S. guided missile destroyer arbitrarily entered waters around China's islands and reefs in the South China Sea on September 30.
A Chinese missile destroyer immediately conducted an identification and warning process to drive it away, said Wu.
