Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday sent a message of condolence to his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo after a Lion Air plane crash killed all 189 passengers on board on Monday.
In his message, President Xi said he was shocked and saddened by the news of the crash.
On behalf of the Chinese government, the people and in his own name, Xi said he mourned for the dead and expressed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families of the victims.
