At the invitation of Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Ri Yong Ho, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh will pay an official visit to the DPRK on Feb. 12-14.
The statement was posted on Monday on the website of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Vietnam welcomes the second summit between the top leaders of the United States and the DPRK slated for Feb. 27-28 in Vietnam, Le Thi Thu Hang, spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Feb. 6.
"Vietnam strongly supports dialogues to maintain peace, security and stability on the Korean Peninsula. Vietnam is ready to make active contribution to and cooperate with relevant sides to ensure the success for the second U.S.-DPRK summit, thus helping realize the above-mentioned goal," she said.
