Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said China will hold the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation later this year and advance third-market cooperation.
Li said China this year will work on addressing problems in financial support, investment environment, risk management and security related to major infrastructure construction and industrial-capacity cooperation.
The premier made the remarks during his annual government work report to lawmakers at the opening meeting of the second session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, underway in Beijing from March 5 to 15.
Li said China will promote the Digital Silk Road and Silk Road E-Commerce across the world, and build high-quality platforms overseas, such as economic and trade cooperation zones and industrial-capacity cooperation parks.
China will also advance third-market cooperation and innovation cooperation with countries including France, Germany, Japan and Singapore, Li noted.
China will also push forward cooperation with Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on creating a network of smart cities, he added.
