Sri Lankan police on Wednesday arrested a foreigner at Madampe in northwestern Sri Lanka over suspected links to Sunday's multiple explosions, local media reported.
The foreigner was arrested from an international school and he did not possess a passport or visa.
The police said they are investigating whether the suspect was involved in the training of bombers that carried out the deadly Easter attacks in the country on Sunday.
The police also noted that the suspect bears a close resemblance to the bomber that carried out the attack on St. Sebastian's Church in Negombo on the outskirts of the capital, local media reports said.
The suspect will be produced before a local court on Thursday.
