Lawmakers in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) held a press conference Monday and condemned Sunday's violent acts at the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR.
The violent acts perpetrated at the Liaison Office and the smearing of the Chinese national emblem seriously challenge "national sovereignty" and "One Country, Two Systems" policy, which is absolutely intolerable, lawmakers said during the press conference.
They called for a renunciation of violence to restore rationality and peace.
