The central government condemns all acts of violence in Hong Kong and strongly supports the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government to take all necessary measures, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said on Monday when asked about violent acts against the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR.
The actions of some radical protesters have challenged the bottom line of the "one country, two systems", which is absolutely intolerable.
"We strongly support HK police and the HKSAR government to take any lawful measures to safeguard the stability of the Hong Kong society and punish violent actions," he added.
China resolutely opposes any external forces intervening in Hong Kong's internal affairs and making irresponsible remarks on Hong Kong affairs.
