China on Thursday unveiled its celebration plan to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, including military and civilian parades on October 1, in Beijing.
Wang Xiaohui, executive deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, briefed the media on the plans at a press conference.
Chinese President Xi Jinping will give a speech at the 70th anniversary of the PRC founding celebration ceremony on October 1, Wang said.
China will also honor those who made important contributions to the nation on the National Day as part of the celebration campaigns.
