On Sunday afternoon, the Hong Kong Airport Authority received a false alert, claiming there was a bomb on board of Shenzhen Airlines flight ZH9069 scheduled to Wuxi, a city in eastern China.
The police confirmed there were no explosives on board.
The incident did not affect normal airport operations, according to the statement released by the HK Airport Authority.
