Junius Ho, a member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), was attacked on Wednesday at 8:44 a.m. local time in Tuen Mun.
Ho was injured by a knife-wielding man and the attacker was also injured, police said, adding that the attacker was arrested.
Ho is conscious and was taken to hospital after he and his two assistants were injured in the attack.
An investigation is underway.
