A special court in Islamabad, capital of Pakistan, on Tuesday found former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf guilty of high treason and handed him death sentence.
Musharraf has been on trial for high treason for imposing a military coup and declaring state of emergency in 2007.
The court announced the verdict in the long-drawn high treason case against Musharraf after hearing final arguments on Tuesday, according to local media.
A detailed verdict will be issued in 48 hours. (Updated)
