Iran received on Monday medical supplies from the World Health Organization (WHO) over the novel coronavirus, official IRNA news agency reported.
The 7.5 tonnes of WHO medical supplies were carried by a United Arab Emirates military aircraft that landed at Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport, IRNA said.
The supplies include medicines, test kits, gloves, surgical masks and respirators.
Also, a six-member medical team of doctors, epidemiologists and laboratory specialists arrived in the capital Tehran on Monday to help Iran handle the virus.
Earlier in the day, Iran announced that 1,051 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the country, 66 of whom have died.
