The chief doctor of Russia's major coronavirus treatment hospital in the outskirts of Moscow, who recently met President Vladimir Putin, has tested positive for COVID-19.
"Yes, I have a positive CoV test, but I feel quite good," Denis Protsenko, the doctor, wrote on Facebook on Tuesday, adding that he is self-isolating and working remotely.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday that Putin is undergoing regular coronavirus tests and "everything is fine."
Protsenko conducted a tour of the hospital on March 24 for Putin and other senior officials, with pictures published of the pair shaking hands.
