The High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Tuesday denied bail to the first person charged with inciting separatism and terrorism under the national security law.
Tong Ying-kit, 23, rammed a motorbike into police line, injuring three officers, during a protest back in July. He was also carrying a banner with the slogan "liberate Hong Kong, the revolution of our times."
Tong previously sought release from detention via a habeas corpus, and the application was rejected on Friday.
Tong's case will return to West Kowloon Court on October 6.
