China is one of the safest countries in the world since there had been no new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country for 30 consecutive days as of Monday, said Wang Wenbin, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, on Tuesday while responding to the U.S. easing its China travel advisory.
The U.S. has eased its advisory for travel to China, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), downgrading its "do not travel" recommendation in June to "reconsider travel," the State Department said Monday.
China urges the U.S. to fully respect the facts and refrain from unwarranted political manipulation when formulating travel warnings, Wang said.
