A Chinese mainland spokesperson on Wednesday reiterated that China opposes any form of official contact between the Taiwan region and other nations.
Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, made the remarks in response to a media question related to the leader of the DPP party in the region seeking contact with U.S.
Zhu also reiterated that the Taiwan question is an internal matter for China and it will not tolerate external meddling.
