China has issued a notice urging efforts to improve and standardize government inspections.
The regulation on government inspections, which took effect on Feb. 1, should be thoroughly implemented, according to the circular issued by the General Office of the State Council.
The circular noted inspections should be problem-oriented and offer suggestions to improve policies, adding that the scale, frequency, and inspection duration must be limited.
It also stressed optimized methods and awareness of following procedures during government inspections.
Local authorities should guide and supervise the enforcement of the regulation and advance the implementation of decisions and plans made by the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council, the circular said.
